Join the Campaign
We are in the process of contacting the student unions at every unversity in the country. Each union will be asked to help calculate the area of their water resource, and promote the counting of ducks, either as a freshers activity in the autumn, or later in the year as something to do when exams are over.
You can also help spread the word about Duck Density. We've come up with the following ideas to give you a hand:
We have designed a few posters so that anyone that wants to help the campaign can print a few copies off and put then up around the university. The posters are designed with tear-off slips at the bottom, so students can take away the web site address so they don't forget it. Please cut between the strips to aid tear-off before putting up.
Does your university have a forum or newsgroup for the students? Help us promote Duck Density by starting a discussion about the ducks at you university within the forum or newsgroup. We've had a mention at Stirling already!
If you have a blog or a website, you can include a link to Duck Density in a suitably prominent place. We'll have some buttons you can use for this available here soon.
In the meantime you could promote Duck Density in your email or forum signature, using this cunningly designed duck (with thanks to Tom's project supervisor for the tail):
